Public Address (PA) and Passenger Information System (PIS)

In 2018, ATSB was awarded the contract to procure components, assemble, test and deliver Public Address and Passenger Information System for Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Line 2 (KVMRT2) trains. The award was made by South Korean company, Woo Jin Industrial Systems Co. Ltd. which was one of the sub-contractors of Hyundai-Rotem. The sub-contract works are part of the Works Package SY203 that was awarded to consortium of Hyundai-Rotem, APEX communications and POSCO (HAP). The project commenced in November 2018. The project scope is to procure, assemble, test and deliver the PA & PIS systems for forty-seven (47) train sets to our client out of the total of forty-nine (49) since two (2) were produced in South Korea.
